Ajmer Sharif Dargah
Popularly known for the grave i.e. Maqbara of a Sufi saint called “Moinuddin Chisti” is a shrine known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah. This shrine a.k.a dargah is located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. This Dargah is managed under an Act in the constitution called “The Dargah Khwaja Saheb Act, 1955”. As per the Supreme Court of India Dewan Syed Zainul Abedin is officially the spiritual leader of this shrine. The main gate of this shrine is known as the “Nizam Gate”. The ideal time to visit this shrine is in between October to March when the climate is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of about 26 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 5 degrees Celsius.

c. Religious significance:
This shrine is famous due to the presence of a tomb of an important Sufi saint called Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin. This saint is known to be a symbol of love, harmony, and truth. He was apparently a descendant of Prophet Muhammad who dedicated his life in service of the underprivileged. According to a myth during his final year on this earth he apparently isolated himself completely from the world. The first official visit to this revered shrine was made by the Sultan of Delhi Muhammad Bin Tughlaq in the year 1332.
