The nearest railway station to this temple is located in Mount Abu. The Abu Road Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country.

There are a number of bus services available from Ambaji that are well connected to major cities in the country such as Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Surat, Vadodara etc.

3. By air:

The closest airport to this airport is located in Ahmedabad. The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as to major countries.

c. Religious significance:

This temple is considered to be one amongst the “51 Shakti Peethas” according to Hindu mythology.  A popular myth states that it was the ashes of the heart of Goddess Sati that had fallen on the site at which this temple currently stands. The ashes had fallen while Lord Shiva was carrying the corpse of his wife i.e. Sati across the three worlds out of sheer anger.  A legend also states that during their exile the Pandavas worshipped Goddess Ambaji i.e. Amba Mata the main deity of this temple.
