Kashtabhanjan Hanuman Mandir
A renowned temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman called “Kashtbhanjandev Hanuman Mandir” is located in Gujarat. This popular temple is located in a village called Sarangpur. It is also supposed to be the only “Swaminarayan Temple” in the country not to possess the idol of Swaminarayan or Krishna as the primary deity. Furthermore, the Lord Hanuman idol at the site of this temple was installed by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami (a respected paramhansa of Swaminarayan Sampraday). Additionally, it is also said that the idol came to life while the Sadguru was enshrining it.

c. Religious significance of the Kashtbhajandev Temple
According a popular folklore it is said that the idol of Hanuman came to life as it was being enshrined by Sadguru Gopalanad Swami at the site of the temple. As a result of which it is said that those affected by mental diseases apparently can get cured if exposed to the same rod used by the Sadguru that brought the idol to life during installation. Furthermore, the management of this temple has apparently specifically hired a Brahmin for performing this ritual of curing the mentally ill. Additionally, this temple is also said to be effective for people supposedly possessed by evil spirits.
